ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we present the wet chemical synthesis of inorganic nanoparticles through several synthesis methodologies such as hydrothermal, thermal decomposition, co-precipitation, microwave assisted hydrothermal, etc. We have thoroughly covered the synthesis protocols for hybrid nanostructures such as magnetic-luminescence, magneto-plasmonics, and others. Finally the necessity of surface modification and further bio-conjugation is discussed.
