ABSTRACT

The case reports provided assist the Board in assessing the provisional psychologist's applied competence in both psychological assessment and intervention while they are completing their internship program. This chapter reviews the content of both the assessment as well as intervention case reports in turn. The Board provides a submission checklist for assessment case report (SCAC-76) and an assessment case report feedback sheet (CSAA-76). The purpose of an assessment case report is to demonstrate the provisional psychologist's applied competence in the area of assessment. As a result, the Board's case report assessors will evaluate the submitted case via the above six sections as well as a final seventh area being a global assessment of the case report. Provisional psychologists undertaking an internship program will need to create eight or four case reports, half being assessment and half being intervention related, depending on the nature of their internship program.
