ABSTRACT
A response to global skeptics about ground who argue that the attempt to develop a theory of ground is generally and in principle defective, and attempts to apply such a theory will be fruitless. This chapter reviews both the reasons that seem to favor global skepticism and the responses to those reasons by defenders of ground.
