A major analysis and interpretation of the reports would be a most worthwhile task, but one that would require time and effort and publication space on the scale of Robert Dottrens and W. Schultze's earlier studies. A further column has been added for more general comments, but a three-dimensional diagram, and more consistent data from the reports themselves, would be required in order to show with any adequacy how curricular patterns within states change as children grow older. The contributing states considered that any proclamation of aims should be prefaced by a statement about the legal framework within which primary education.
