ABSTRACT

The chapter discusses Jung’s ‘big dream’ of his father six weeks after his death. This introduces the idea that the unconscious exists in levels where the dead reside. Examples including Toni Wolff and Emma Jung assist in building a theory as to how the dead exist in the unconscious. Marie-Lousie von Franz wrote thoughtfully about the state of discarnates and their post-mortem life and this is examined when looking at how and where are the dead.
