ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with the relatively new algorithm, that is, cuckoo search (CS) algorithm proposed by Deb and Yang in 2009 [1], and it has been found to be competent and capable in dealing with problems that need to be globally optimized. The optimization is increasing hastily and is far more important as time, resources, and money are limited. The basic objective of optimization is to accomplish a stable system. Today, in approximately all areas of industry and science we are working to achieve a stable solution or we can say we are working to optimize something, that is, whether to minimize the resource requirement or to maximize the prot. In the same context, many algorithms inspired by nature are emerging and are used extensively for solving these wide ranges of problems dealing with optimization.
