Stage 1: Understand Problem to Grasp Desirability
The first stage of transform ideas into business with design thinking is the most important stage of any endeavor. This stage will help employee to have a clear vision as to WHY their idea is important and WHO the primary beneficiary of their solution is. Stakeholders are all the persons who would be the direct beneficiaries of employee's solution or would be directly or indirectly affected by their idea. The reason to think of all the connected and influenced stakeholders is to have an exploratory approach to the problem space and not look at the problem space only through the narrow lens of identified target stakeholders. To have genuine curiosity, employee must engage with users through empathetic questioning. Think of it as personally connecting with someone rather than interviewing or surveying someone.
