ABSTRACT

This chapter defines the main puzzle, the topic, and the scope of the book. In the first section, I illustrate the puzzle and research question of the book, which investigates the organizational change that Italian and English students have brought about within some universities in the years 2008 to 2011. In the second section, I present the empirical and theoretical contributions of my study. In the third section, I argue that it is relevant to study student protests today, especially by adopting a strategic-relational approach. The time seems again ripe to explore student mobilizations and their impact. In the fourth and final section, I illustrate the structure of the book.
