ABSTRACT

Smart Engagement works best and creates most value in the context of an organisation whose strategy is to generate Smart Outcomes. Smart Leadership adds two fundamental attributes: an understanding and commitment to accountably engage with stakeholders, and an understanding and commitment to identify and deliver Smart outcomes. Smart Management Systems support Smart Strategies and Smart Business Models. They enable us to plan tactically and implement our strategic plan within the structure of our Smart Business Model. Innovation is the continual improvement of solutions in response to needs and expectations. Smart Innovation is the creation of solutions that continuously improve our outcomes. Smart Engagement is also an accountability mechanism. Success depends on enabling a process whereby interested stakeholders can address material issues using the level of engagement and methods they are comfortable with, and which are most effective and efficient in developing Smart outcomes.
