ABSTRACT
José and Miguel were in a gloomy corner of a coffee shop near the university, planning their strategy for the debate. Miguel saw Maria entering. Miguel made it his business to know what was going on and who was connected to whom. So he knew exactly who Maria was and what she was up to. With José’s back turned to her, she was oblivious as to whom she was sharing the café with. Maria chose a seat near the window with a view of the street corner and the entrance to the campus, and took out a book.
