ABSTRACT
This chapter argues that the different objectives and agendas—and will need a different managerial mindset and set of leadership skills to carry it off. It explores some of the emerging characteristics of the new economy. A sustainable enterprise economy (SEE) will produce benefits in the form of private wealth and public goods. One purpose of the SEE is job and economic stability rather than growth at all costs. The SEE needs to be oriented towards the future, and especially the future health of humanity and the Earth. SEE Change is actually about finding ways for humanity to thrive not just sustain, and for the Earth's other species to thrive too. One interesting thing about SEE Change is that it is premised, as are biological systems, as much on cooperation and collaboration as on competition. Competition will not go away as SEE Change continues to evolve, just as it does not ever fully go away in natural systems.
