ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a case study for the expansion and consolidation of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) in American University in Cairo School of Business. It provides an overview of the challenge(s) faced in relation to mainstreaming responsible management, an explanation of the actions taken in relation to the challenge(s), information about the results and benefits of the actions taken, and some points regarding the role of PRME/sustainability principles to carry out the activity. The Corporate Governance Club (CGC) at the American University in Cairo School of Business is the first Egyptian student-based academic club that is dedicated to the dissemination of corporate governance principles and best practices among students. It aims at encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue among students of business, finance, economics, law, and accounting who share a common interest in working in a fair and transparent corporate environment. The CGC provides innovative means for disseminating concepts and applications of a responsible management notion.
