ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a case study for the expansion and consolidation of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) in Aston University. It provides an overview of the challenge(s) faced in relation to mainstreaming responsible management, an explanation of the actions taken in relation to the challenge(s), information about the results and benefits of the actions taken, and some points regarding the role of PRME/sustainability principles to carry out the activity. The case study outlines the development of Aston University’s Ethical Framework, which is an important part of the University strategy of ‘integrating sustainability issues into all aspects of University life’. In developing its strategy towards 2020, the University set out its plans to integrate ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability into all aspects of University life. The Ethics Framework would provide information to help all members of the University community to make good, informed business decisions and to act on them with integrity.
