ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a case study for the expansion and consolidation of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) in Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark. It provides an overview of the challenge(s) faced in relation to mainstreaming responsible management, an explanation of the actions taken in relation to the challenge(s), information about the results and benefits of the actions taken, and some points regarding the role of PRME/sustainability principles to carry out the activity. Each year about 2,700 new students start their first semester in one of 18 bachelor programmes at CBS. The students’ first day on campus, Responsibility Day, is dedicated to the topic of responsible management. Responsibility Day aims to illustrate the concept of responsible management and how it relates to each study programme. Responsibility Day is CBS’s most important mechanism to signal the commitment to PRME to students and faculty.
