The selected organisational form and structure should facilitate sustainable knowledge creation. In this context the company system level is not suitable for the flow of knowledge. Learning from systematically collecting, filing, combining and distributing the experiences of staff members is of great importance for sharing knowledge within an organisation. Learning from science as well as from the application of knowledge by knowledge workers appears to be complex and difficult to manage, requiring new theoretical insights or approaches in order to achieve a change in behaviour of professionals.
