ABSTRACT
What is sustainable politics and what does it mean for companies? How do they react to or pre-empt sustainable policy strategies? When the world’s nations met in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro at the 2nd UNCED, nearly all participants agreed to promote sustainable development. Sustainable policies were thin on the ground back then, but nearly ten years later law-makers still have not found a way to ensure their nations’ sustainability.
