ABSTRACT

The indirect stakeholders include those with specific interest in the region or those who have planned programmes that relate to regional improvement or regional study. Regional studies are the base for the long-term overall improvement of the region, not just the communities within which the gas fields are located. Provide stakeholders with an overview of the full field development and to give them an opportunity to discuss uncertainties and sensitivities. Participation is seen as a combined effort extending inside the company to the planners, designers and operators and outside to a wide hierarchy of individuals and organisations. A variety of techniques to deliver and receive information and comment are required due to the geographic location of the project. Indirect stakeholders also include those with an interest and/or concerns in the issues at hand—rainforest protection, indigenous communities, biodiversity, and oil and gas operations. A health baseline study was initiated, aimed at the implementation of recommendations for improved healthcare.
