ABSTRACT

This chapter seeks to share WWF's role in catalysing transformational change in education, business and finance and invite others to explore with us how to take this complex agenda forward. Global society is on a collision course with the finite limits of our one planet. More resources are being consumed more quickly than at any time in human history. The most basic learning infrastructure that can start the process of enabling, cultivating and influencing change across a system is through engaging and developing dialogue with people, such as multi-stakeholder processes. Established in 1961, WWF works to conserve endangered species, protect threatened habitats and address global threats, seeking long-term solutions that benefit both people and nature. WWF works cooperatively with business to build sustainable solutions to the world's most pressing environmental threats. Learning can be used as a key process in building people's capacity for change.
