ABSTRACT
To protect something, we have to love it. And to love it, we have to take the time to appreciate its beauty and value. In 2014, I took some time to do just that. After giving a talk in California, I added three extra days to tour the Sierra Nevada and Yosemite National Park by motorcycle with an old friend.
