ABSTRACT
The timeline below is created for first-year MBA students in a full-time program, so it assumes that school begins in August and ends in April/May. Of course, many of you may be on a different schedule, be enrolled in an executive or weekend MBA program, or have already graduated. If so, I'd encourage you to review the actions listed here and create your own timeline. Start with the date you'd like to be employed and work backwards from there - and do this at the start of your job search. Having a timeline with concrete, actionable steps identified for each month not only makes your job search more productive, but it also helps reduce some of the anxiety of the job search by breaking it down into manageable steps.
