ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about sustainable jobs and internship options for MBA students. MBA students — especially those in full-time MBA programs — are presented daily with recruiting opportunities in investment banking, consumer goods marketing, and management consulting. The number of these "mainstream" MBA career opportunities presented every day probably dwarfs that of the sustainability job postings come across. The chapter provides some ideas, ranging from renewable energy market analysts to affordable housing real estate developers. These are all actual titles held by MBA graduates in recent years. It presents two examples namely MBA internships — positions held by real MBA students and full-time jobs — titles held by real MBA graduates in recent years. So many MBAs who are excited about the intellectual challenge of a job, but not the end goals of the job itself.
