ABSTRACT
Marie Bohataruns the Center for Ethics in Economics and Business (CERGE - Economics Institute) and serves as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute. Her recent and current research focuses mainly on restructuring manufacturing industry and performance of firms, corporate governance in privatized companies, and ethics of business and social responsibility of business in the Czech Republic Other activities of Dr. Bohata are the following: member of the Executive Committee of the European Business Ethics Network; member of the Board of Trustees of the Council for Ethics in Economics, Columbus, USA; associate editor of the Business Ethics - A European Review; chairperson of The Society for Ethics in Economics; member of the team assisting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the implementation of the Europe Agreement; vice-president for the Czech Republic in the European Council for Small Business.
