ABSTRACT

The centralized party and the dictatorship of the proletariat were viewed in this instance as a means of reaching a fully harmonious democratic communist society, but not as a goal in and of itself. The French Revolution, with its democratic tradition, was viewed as an important step in the direction of creating a democratic society. Fascism was an example of a "true ideology", as its ideological premises and political reality did not contradict each other. For this reason, fascists were hardly disenchanted by the political reality they encountered. The national strike in the fall of 1905, and the December uprising in Moscow shook the very foundations of tsardom. During these tumultuous events representatives of various radical political parties played a principal role in making the radicals one of the leading forces in the country's political development.  The radicals on the right viewed the French Revolution as the interplay of social and political forces.
