ABSTRACT
In the preceding chapters we have reviewed the origins and status of the British, French, and Chinese nuclear forces, their institutional complexes, costs and harms, and have identified perceived threats to which they are responses. This review compels us to these concluP sions:
1. A strong, articulate constituency in each of the Three advocates the vital necessity of maintaining nuclear forces.
