ABSTRACT

The creation of Orion in Georgia has none of the surrealism or violence of Akira Kurosawa's classic, at least not in the physical sense. The courthouse and accompanying complex are uncharacteristic of the surrounding area. One block west is the historic Marietta town square, a more likely setting for a courthouse. Rashomon is essentially the story of a rape and murder by a medieval bandit as described by four people, each with a different account of what happened. The eighty-three-minute movie won the coveted Oscar award for best foreign film. Gail Brewer-Giorgio was one of Carlisle's clients. The twosome connected Arthur and Giorgio. It is at this point the interpretations become murky, as in Rashomon. Orion is a good read, despite the ghost of Elvis Presley haunting the pages. Giorgio and Carol Halupke were mulling over the possibility of a lead for the Orion movie.
