ABSTRACT

Apart from Castro, no figure that emerged from the Cuban Revolution was more fascinating and influential than Ernesto “Che” Guevara. Guevarajoined Castro’s group as a doctor. Within a year or so he was one of the top guerrilla captains. With victory, Guevara helped handle Cuba’s official finances and at the same time masterminded and directed a hemisphere-wide subversive program. He was a guerrilla theoretician, as well as practitioner, as related in the following excerpts from “Che” Guevara on Revolution, which was published in 1969.
