ABSTRACT

The real space and the operative time is the essence of reality to appear inexhaustibly pluralistic and diverse. The temporal forces asso-ciated with origin and future are indifferent to the space of their occurrence. Society permits its members to lure novices under the guise of mere playing. The truth, however, insists that those who sow tears will reap joys. The circumstances of mass agglomeration and pacification familiarized those occasions to many a mayor, entrepreneur, and public works administrator. But is the sociology of the masses the authentic sociology? There have been sociologists who affirmed it. Since primeval times we have associated mass phenomena with the forces of nature—for example, floods, conflagrations, lava streams. Concordance leading to a common will is in the end the real force whose shadow is visible in mass scenes. The scientific nature of technology confers upon it an unstoppable momentum of activity.
