ABSTRACT

Another foundational question is whose story should be included as part of the Holocaust. While few would challenge recognizing Roma, Poles, and even Aryan children subjected to either the sterilization or T-4 murder campaigns as victims of the Holocaust, what of those chil­ dren who were privileged by the Nazi state, educated in Nazi schools, and made to join the H itler Jugend or the Bund D eutscher M adell In this chapter, I will consider all children and youth whose lives where shaped or affected by Nazi rule and the Holocaust.
