ABSTRACT

This chapter elucidates the psychological mechanisms of entrepreneurial and managerial effectiveness, and its success rates, in the period of transformations in Poland in reference to the model of the psychology of creativity. Entrepreneurial success is taken to be the result of human resource management, which leads to the maximisation of the economic value of an enterprise. To verify the hypothesis, a Multivariate Analysis of Variance was carried out. Stability enhancing efficiency, and hence—among others—resilience in face of challenge, set back and threat, depends in an obvious way on one's sense of identity. Though the concept of Ego depletion requires further research, it may be assumed that a particularly important role in regenerating these resources, besides for example, axiological factors, is played by the Strong ego. It subordinates the diverse motives to an overarching goal which endows life with a sense of purpose.
