The Star Ridge Hunt, of which Mr. Erastus Tefft is Master, hunt a roughish country in New York, State…his (Jack Russell) terriers came over with the first draft. (The hunt was established in 1928.) Mr. Tefft likes his terriers as small as possible, for the usual earths are enlarged woodchuck holes, deserted by their former owners.… The terriers are carried on horseback.
