As a critic of violent entertainment, I have a flaw: I’ve always enjoyed it. When my wife heads for Cinema One to revel in some deeply empathic movie about meaningful relationships, usually starring Meryl Streep or Shirley MacLaine, I meander off to Cinema Two for a film with more action, a higher body count and a few mandatory car crashes and explosions.
