ABSTRACT
The first goal of the Environmental Risk Reporting Project was to explore the strengths and weaknesses of environmental risk reporting by using New Jersey's best environmental risk stories as a case study. The articles analyzed were chosen by the editors of the twenty-six daily newspapers in New Jersey as representing the best articles published in 1984 on the subject. The collection of articles-the archive-consists of 248 articles which contain 6,486 paragraphs.
