ABSTRACT

Specific study of Latin American economies appears to demonstrate that corruption and collectivism, not necessarily in order of importance, have been responsible for most, if not all, of the economic woes of the region. This is the same as saying that the political and economic woes of a given nation cannot usually be separated. About a decade ago various Latin American (LA) countries began to carry out reforms in their economies. Liberalism is a school of thought which considers that the human being possesses inalienable rights to life, liberty and property. The Liberal Front Party (PFL) is the party of that political stability which is essential for administrative, economic and social stability, all of which are essential to an increasing economy and social development. The Left professes to believe in "self determination" for all the world's geographical units save those, as with Tibet, under the heel of one of its satrapies, here the Peoples Republic of China (PRP).
