ABSTRACT

Sigmund Freud and Carl G. Jung, unquestionably among this century’s most eminent psychologists, came from widely divergent backgrounds. Freud was trained as a Viennese neurologist, and although he created the new discipline of psychoanalysis he had little experience to repeat an earlier point with hospitalized cases. Jung, on the other hand, held a prestigious position at one of the most famous psychiatric clinics in Switzerland.
