287Once we have analyzed the various facets of associative activity, it becomes essential to investigate the laws that apply to the activity of the collective, since no science should be satisfied with only a description of its phenomena. To the contrary, it must explore the dependence of these postulates on external factors of some form or other. This aspect of scientific discipline is especially important, since in discovering the fixed regularities between two phenomena and the law-determined reliance of some phenomena on others, we gain the potential to predict the course of phenomena or to foresee the future. In these two facts lies the true value of scientific knowledge.
