ABSTRACT

In essence, science and art pursue the same goals; alongside the arousal of a sense of pleasure, science and art are occupied with the study and description of the real world, expanding the mental scope and developing the knowledge of nature and life. And so to the psychological similarity between the two fields is added a biological resemblance, since both have an independent significance in practical life, in the relationship of a person with his surroundings, and lead to the employment of the products of human creativity. It is clear that scientific and artistic creativity is based on the preexisting spiritual "forces" of a nation. The development of the cultural life of nations is subject to the same law of historical succession. And so, when there is a lack of historical prerequisites, the law of historical succession leads to disastrous consequences.
