ABSTRACT
During the twentieth century, Japan experienced drastic social changes. As a results of these changes, the lives of today's Japanese are more Western ized and show a unique mixture of Oriental tradition and Westernized modernity. The family life of Japanese seniors has also changed and is still changing rapidly.
