ABSTRACT
With her hopes that professional aid will put an end to her husband's drinking problem repeatedly dashed, the wife of an alcoholic finds her self married to a man with whom living becomes increasingly difficult. Perhaps the greatest tragedy of alcoholism is this deterioration of the marriage relationship into a state of continuing and, ultimately, perma nent mutual alienation.
