ABSTRACT

This study aims to get an image of character education implementation in learning processes at primary school. Case study method, data collection techniques in interviews and observation, as well as the data analysis were done qualitatively. The results show that before teaching, teachers should shape the students to performing tasks, and practicing science, building relationships with students, understanding the conditions and their personal characteristics, and utilizing existing resources as well. The character values developed in learning are faith and devotion to the God Almighty, being independent of others, willing to sacrifice, being cooperative and responsible, discussion method, subjects-integrated, habituation, manners of the heart activity, classroom-based character education, school culture, and education character objectives as the spirit and the foundation of education. Observing the way of thinking, acting, speaking, along with attitudes, worship motivation, asking friends, teachers and parents is used to conduct the assessment.
