ABSTRACT

Vocational School has never been the first choice for the community to send their children after graduating from junior high school. The academic service quality is one of the decisive factors in improving the schools’ credibility. It is densely related to the students’ satisfaction as the consumers of education. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to verify the determinant factors in improving the academic services quality. This research was conducted in two vocational schools in the Palangkaraya city aimed to compare the determinant factors of academic service quality. The method used was descriptive survey with a sample of 171 students. As the results of the research, it was revealed that one of the vocational school had high determinant factor in the physical facility and empathy as the lowest. While at the other school, the highest determinant factor was responsiveness and the lowest was empathy.
