ABSTRACT

This article discusses the implementation of organization development of public elementary schools based on management standards according to government regulation of the Indonesia Republic number 19 of 2005, which looked at five aspects: program planning, program implementation, supervision and evaluation, leadership, and management information systems. The population of this research is all public elementary schools in West Sumatera Province, which amounted to 392 schools with total sample of 124 schools. The respondents were the principals. Samples were taken using the proportional technique of stratified random sampling. The data was collected using questionnaires that have been tested for their validity and reliability. Data was analyzed using the descriptive statistic technique. The results of this study describe that in general the implementation of the organization development in public elementary schools based on the school management standard has been done well, but there are some indicators of school management standards that it has not been implemented properly.
