ABSTRACT
One of the challenges for madrasah leaders is ensuring sustainability in a Total Quality Management (TQM) system. Leaders have the responsibility to encourage the development of total quality practices in Madrasahs Aliyah (MAs). The implementation of the sustainability concept in the quality management system requires the presence of a leader who inspires and motivates with authenticity. The aim of this study is to analysis the influence of authentic transformational leadership on TQM for sustainability in madrasahs aliyah. This research used a descriptive research approach with a verification survey. Findings showed that authentic transformational leaders who motivate and inspire can encourage innovation in TQM for sustainability in MAs – both radical and incremental innovation.
