Making decisions by organization outcomes, and outcome alone, is like "driving down the road looking in the rear-view mirror." The financial perspective is only part of the picture, and always a critical component of the entire picture of every organization. Healthcare Affordability is about delivering the required value to the customer, through the funding and full utilization of the resources necessary, offering products and services at a competitive price to generate revenue and profitability, for growing the business and providing jobs. A successful future is achieved through assessing, designing, implementing, maintaining, directing and leading an organization over the roadblocks and barriers, around the pitfalls and hazards, on the journey of Affordability. By balancing, leveling, and smoothing the flow, Healthcare Affordability across the entire Enterprise can be achieved. The enterprise model depicts the relationship between the delivery of value and the requirements from both patients and providers.
