ABSTRACT

A fail-safe safe network is able to handle both variations modifying its planned flow, and disruptions distorting its network structure. In this chapter, we investigate how risk management decisions made to handle variations in supply networks affect (or, are affected by) risk management decisions made to handle disruptions. In this chapter, we develop a model to make these decisions concurrently. The numerical analysis of results helps the user to determine the interactions between these two groups of risk management strategies.
