ABSTRACT

All the outsets, a brief review of different elementary properties of block pulse functions (BPF), the chapter presents approximations of different square integrable time functions of Lebesgue measure using block pulse functions (BPF) and some related orthogonal functions. This chapter also deals with qualitative and quantitative comparison of function approximations via conventional block pulse functions and other related orthogonal functions. This chapter also contains relevant tables and graphs along with six illustrative examples and the same number of study problems.
