ABSTRACT
The following list of documents is not a reference list for the citations in the book. This proposed bibliography while being non-exhaustive serves as a general reference to those interested to learn more about contracting for health systems and services. It is a large collection of references that focus on different aspects of contracting, including a particularly rich collection of documents related to the use of performance incentives in the health sector. It is constituted of papers published in peer-reviewed journals, but several grey literature documents that often focus on the implementation level questions are also included. Thus the documents proposed in this bibliography give a thorough overview on the theoretical and empiric dimensions of strategic contracting for health systems and services.
