ABSTRACT
It has been announced that the government has some underground headquarters and that it is going to build more (that is, headquarters for the North American Air Defense Command and some of the future SAGE Air Defense Control Centers). It has been further announced that the ICBM installations are to be built hard. So far as I know, these are the only installations that have ever been publicly announced as hard, or built to survive attack. We not only do not have enough current capability, we are not carrying on much research either.
