ABSTRACT
The simultaneous success of the National Health Insurance scheme (191248) and the effect of increasing specialization in medicine focused public and professional interest on the organization of medical services. The ad vances in medicine in the interwar period raised questions on the role of the hospital, the status of general practice, and the future organization of general and specialized services.
