ABSTRACT
Adcock and Pether were partners around 1760, on premises in Orange Street near St Martin's Lane, London. Not far away in Drury Lane was the workshop of William Pether, a harpsichord-maker and possible relative of John. It was Adcock who in 1760 rebuilt the 'Smith' chamber organ at Lichfield (see cat. no. 16).
