ABSTRACT
The first step in the author's workflow is to create a master folder on the author's desktop for the destination/adventure, Antarctica in this case. Of course, there are exceptions to that photo philosophy, as illustrated by this image of a cowgirl in which photographer can not see her eyes. That shadow creates a sense of mystery in the photograph—a sense of mystery enhanced by the shadow of the cowboy on the horse's rump. Speaking of mystery, here is an old photo adage: When photographer destroy the mystery of a photograph, photographer destroy the photograph. Of course, we all want to have fun making pictures, at home and when far away. Keep in mind, however, that backing up photographer's work is serious business. After all, if photographer's pictures are safe and sound, photographer will not have to rely on photographer's memory to reflect on photographer's experiences.
